This week on my coffee table: IKEA FAMILY LIVE

If you live in the NL and you have an Ikea Family Card, probably you just received a copy of the Ikea magazine, Ikea Family Live.
Well, you can find my smiling and happy face and my blue apartment at pag. 78. I'm so proud of these two pages! There is also an interview (!) but since it's in dutch (!!) I share with you the english version.

What’s your favourite thing about your home and why? 

My favorite thing is certainly the big window in the livingroom that offers a great view over the sky to the east. It makes the space incredibly bright and it always brings a peaceful feeling to stare at the trees waving at the wind. I love to open the livingroom door and immediately see all my colors, my garland hangs by the window and my flowers in the sunshine.

How would you describe your home’s style? Where do you get your inspiration from? 

Flea market style with touch of hand-made and a lot of DIY. I love to collect interior styling magazine and books. I like the Nordic style, clean and shining, white walls and furniture pieces from the '60. Furthermore I'm also a blogger, so a great part of my inspirations come from the web.

What are you most proud of in your home? 

All my DIY and the atmosphere that I've created: easy and young!

How do you make the most of the space in your home?

Using my creativity! One example of how creative solutions can help organizing the space can be found in my little kitchen. As we are renting our place we can't change it too much, so I've bought a very nice piece of blue and white fabric and two white Lack shelfs. I've sewed the fabric and I've attached it on the table, to create a storage place underneat it and I hung up the shelfs on the wall above the table for all my teapots and kitchen tools. This made the limited room in the kitchen area very organized and colorful.

Eccola, finalmente è uscita! Di cosa sto parlando? Di Ikea Family Live (versione olandese), la rivista ufficiale di Ikea. La mia gioia è data dal fatto che già da qualche tempo non la ricevevo più (nonostante le strisciate della carta, mooolto frequenti!) e, soprattutto, dal fatto che il mio "blue apartment" è pubblicato a pag.78! Due pagine di pura gioia ed emozione.

Ho dovuto tacere per mesi -non potete immaginare quanto sia stata dura- ma eccola finalmente, in tutte le case olandesi degli amanti Ikea è entrata la mia faccia sorridente. C'è anche una intervista, ovviamente tradotta dall'inglese all'olandese, che voglio condividere con voi in italiano. 

Qual è la cosa preferita di casa tua e perché?

La cosa che preferisco è sicuramente la grande finestra nel soggiorno che offre una splendida vista sul cielo ed è rivolta ad est. Rende lo spazio incredibilmente luminoso e fissare gli alberi mossi dal vento mi porta sempre un senso di pace. Mi piace aprire la porta del soggiorno e vedere immediatamente tutti i miei colori, la ghirlanda appesa alla finestra e i miei fiori inondati dalla luce del sole.

Come descriveresti lo stile della tua casa? Da dove trai ispirazione?

Uno stile flea market, con un tocco di hand-made e un sacco di fai da te. Mi piace collezionare libri e riviste di interior design e arredamento. Mi piace lo stile nordico, pulito e luminoso, pareti bianche e mobili anni '60. Inoltre, essendo una blogger, gran parte delle mie ispirazioni provengono dal web.

Qual è la cosa di casa tua di cui sei più orgogliosa?

Tutti i miei fai da te e l'atmosfera che ho creato: giovane e divertente!

Come sfrutti al meglio lo spazio in casa?

Utilizzando la mia creatività! Un esempio di come le soluzioni creative possono aiutare a organizzare lo spazio è nella mia piccola cucina. Siccome siamo in affitto e non possiamo stravolgere completamente gli ambienti, ho comprato un pezzo molto carino di tessuto bianco e blu e due mensole Lack bianche. Ho cucito la stoffa e l'ho attaccata con le puntine al tavolo, per creare un luogo di "deposito" sotto di esso e ho appeso le mensole sulla parete dietro il tavolo, per tutte le mie teiere e gli oggetti di cucina. Questo ha reso lo spazio limitato nella zona cucina molto organizzato e colorato.
